On Saturday, August 12th, 2023, LA21-CDC hosted its first inaugural Pitch Competition at the Community Education Center (CDC) at 3500 Lancaster Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19104.
The winner of this year’s competition is Ceramic Concept LLC, with the second prize winner Vision to Reality, and the third place winner Playology Kids. The first prize winner won $1000, the second and third prize winner received $500 each, and all other participants received $100 participation awards.
Judges for the competition included Page Huey, Small Business Consultant at the Welcoming Center, Dan Tangi, Assistant Vice President, Business Development Officer at Univest, Frederick “Anthony” Darby Jr., Banking Officer at Univest, Shanshan Ma, Bilingual Business Services Manager at the Phila Department of Commerce, Monica Herrera Zuniga, Budget and Grant Analysis at Widener and Varma Mitchell, Senior Business Consultant at Temple University.
